Top 5 exam day tips
With exams just around the corner it can be tough to stay on track. No need to worry, student writer Ola Khalil has been through it all and shares her five quick tips that will have you well prepared on the day – good luck!
1. Make sure you give yourself enough time.
Rushing to get out of the house when you have an exam is not exactly an ideal situation. So, on the day of your exam, wake up at least two hours earlier. This way you’ll have enough time to have your breakfast and do some extra revision!
2. Check the exam venue and time the night before.
Make it a habit to double check the venue and time of your exam. Sometimes, venue changes occur last minute, and you don’t want to be in the wrong place at the wrong time!
3. Have a healthy & balanced breakfast!
Don’t skip breakfast on exam day and make sure it’s healthy! A healthy breakfast will supply you with the brain power to ace this exam. You won’t focus on the questions you’re answering when you’re hungry and your stomach is rumbling!
4. Avoid people who are panicking!
It’s normal to be anxious, but negativity is a no-no on exam day! This is why it is important to steer clear of people who may be a bit too nervous about the exam. You don’t want to be doubting yourself and your ability to do well!
5. Read the question!
Even though it seems fairly obvious, make sure you read the question carefully! Don’t make the mistake of assuming you know what you’re being asked to answer from the first glance. Re-reading the question will ensure you’ll answer exactly what the marker wants to see.
